I started my coaching session with Alice at the beginning of starting a new job role in a new organisation. This role was a significant step up for me and my early sessions with Alice helped to identify my areas of development. Our sessions have covered a wide range of topics from project management approaches, relationship development, as well as ways to improve my confidence and ability to engage with senior stakeholders. I’ve gained a lot from my sessions, ranging from practical new approaches I’ve implemented in my day-to-day work, through to being able to work through a challenge from start to finish in one session. Although Alice’s open approach remains consistent, it is always reactive and mouldable to the scenarios I bring, meaning no session ever feels the same.

Alice’s approach and demeaner creates an open, trusting, and honest space where I feel like I can share any professional challenge. The sessions feel like protected thinking time, where Alice provides honest feedback, important challenges, and implementable solutions. Alice listens intently and can reflect my thoughts concisely, identifying pinch points or areas to explore further. Even when I’ve come to sessions without a particular topic in mind, Alice has encouraged me to be reflective and identify where positive change in my approach to work has happened – focusing on why that is. This has helped me embed learning consciously and ensure these positive changes are for the long term.

Alice’s guidance and advice has helped me settle into my new role seamlessly and I appreciate being able to have professional conversations with someone who isn’t my direct line manager.
